Our planet's
oceans and other environments are in peril. Annually, many species of marine life as well as land based life join the
endangered and extinct species list. It is projected that by 2040 most species of fish that are a vital food source
for mankind will be depleted from our oceans. Our coral reefs are dying worldwide and the once fertile and abundant
fishing grounds are now barren. With the advent of global warming, climate changes, and pollution, this already bleak situation
worsens daily. These issues will not cure themselves. It would be a sad future in which our children's grandchildren
would be forced to view in books or museums what once thrived in our oceans and on this planet's other
environments.
It is for this reason that
I have chosen to align myself with some of the foremost and respected marine research and conservation organizations on this
planet. I am only one person, but have decided to make a difference. I have chosen to use my influence as an artist,
jewelry designer and manufacturer to do what I can.. If all of us did something we could have a positive impact.The whale,
dolphin and other marine oriented jewelry pieces that will be featured were designed by myself in the 1980's and
90's and along with these, brand new pieces will be available for sale to further these efforts. A percentage of the total
sales from this site will be donated to these organizations to further their research and conservation efforts.
Please remember that without our oceans, we as mankind have no future.
